1. Introduction

Welcome to Expose AI ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

2. Your Images Never Leave Your Device

Expose AI analyzes images entirely on your device using an embedded AI model. The images you check are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any server — analysis works even with no internet connection. We have no access to your photos, and no copy of them exists outside your device.

3. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information to operate the app:

Images: Not collected. Analysis is 100% on-device (see above).
Advertising Data: Our advertising partner (Google AdMob) may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads, as described in its privacy policy.
Purchase Data: If you subscribe to Pro, the purchase is processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play. Our subscription manager (RevenueCat) receives the purchase receipt and an anonymous app-generated identifier to activate your subscription — no name, email, or account is required or collected.
Settings: App preferences are stored locally on your device.

4. Advertising

Expose AI displays advertisements through Google AdMob to support free, unlimited scans. Google AdMob may collect certain information for personalized advertising. You can learn more about Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy.

On iOS devices, we request App Tracking Transparency permission before enabling personalized ads. In the EEA and UK, we show a consent form (Google UMP) before serving personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings, and Pro subscribers see no ads at all.

5. Subscriptions

Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription billed through your App Store or Google Play account. Billing, renewal, and cancellation are handled entirely by the store. We never see your payment details. You can manage or cancel the subscription anytime in your store account settings.

6. Children's Privacy

Expose AI is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

7. Data Security

Because your images and settings stay on your device, their security depends on your device's own protections. The limited data handled by our third-party services (advertising and purchase processing) is protected by those services' security measures.

8. Third-Party Services

Our app uses the following third-party services:

Google AdMob: For displaying advertisements
RevenueCat: For processing Pro subscription receipts (anonymous identifier only)
Apple App Store / Google Play: For billing and subscription management
Expo: For app development and updates

Each service has its own privacy policy governing the use of your information.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings (and change your EEA/UK ad-consent choice at any time)
Delete all local app data by clearing app storage or uninstalling the app
Request information about data our third-party services may have collected

10. Disclaimer on Detection Results

AI-image detection is probabilistic. Verdicts are a signal, not proof, and accuracy varies with image editing, compression, and new AI generators. Please do not use results as the sole basis for accusations or decisions about other people.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
